Stephanie Hall, MA, CCC

Stephanie is a Canadian Certified Counsellor who holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.  She provides support for people experiencing stress and shame-related issues such as relational trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, religious trauma/deconstruction, self-acceptance, self-compassion, life transition, compassion fatigue, stress management, and more.  Since these experiences often make it difficult to cope and thrive in the day-to-day and in connection with others, counselling can provide growth towards feeling worthy and connected.  Her truest value is that all people are worthy of love and belonging and embarks to bring that sense of value to every session.

Several types of approaches are used in counselling with Stephanie.  She integrates some of the most relevant elements from several theories to meet each client where they are in their journey.  She always begins with building safety for vulnerability in this new counselling relationship which includes validation and some grounding/relaxation practices.  Her work is highly influenced by the research, writing, and lectures on shame-resilience by Brene Brown.  This work embodies the belief that we are all human - and therefore beautifully imperfect.  That starting place is where humans can meet and see each other on our way to knowing we are worthy of love and connection - and therefore able to live with more growth, richness of life, and connection.  Stephanie holds certification in Emotion Focused Individual Therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy.  Through these lenses, Stephanie helps clients build rewarding relationships with their emotions both internally and in the context of the relationships around them.

Stephanie uses these trainings and values to help people accept themselves in a world that often leaves us feeling like we are not enough.  Wether it be rejection, abusive control, loss, family/societal/religious expectations, internalized expectations, and more… These experiences are traumatic in nature, leaving us to fear connection and vulnerability.  Counselling is a place where it is safe to be your true, authentic self while growing towards a future of true connection and self-acceptance.

Extended medical insurance programs often cover counselling with Stephanie.

In addition to individual counselling, Stephanie also provides workshops on related topics to groups and places of employment via Zoom.  These workshops can be one that has been previously offered or custom developed on a specific topic for your group.

Therapeutic book clubs facilitated by Stephanie in small groups on Zoom will also be coming soon!

“ I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
